With a short view of the three films I felt Ken Branagh's was the most effective . In his nineth century film he was able to capture every aspect of the play. From the language to the music and setting he delivered the suspence necessary from the opening. Starting with the ghost scene of a cold night he surrounds the guards with a fire, he then dims the light to show the ghost emerge. He even puts imagery to the words of Marcellus the suggest war amongst the kingdom. Unlike the other two verisons shown Ken believed in giving the viewers Hamlet the way Shakepeare wrote it. In the end that is why I believe this movie is the best to follow along with the play itslef.
